Projects
A collection of projects I've built over the years — from command-line tools to web applications, each reflecting my journey in understanding systems, improving workflows, and exploring new technologies.
CLI Tools
Terminal-based tools designed to simplify complex workflows and remove unnecessary friction from everyday development tasks.
deasy (2026)
A lightweight command-line wrapper for yt-dlp that removes the complexity of long flags and confusing options.
Built with: Bash
Features: Simplified download interface, preset configurations, batch operations, automatic format selection.
yduts (2025)
A minimalist study timer built for the terminal with zero distractions and maximum clarity.
Built with: Bash
Features: Pomodoro technique support, customizable intervals, terminal notifications, session tracking.
Unity CLI Manager (2025)
Command-line tool for creating, organizing, and managing Unity projects without Unity Hub.
Built with: Bash
Features: Project scaffolding, version management, template support, batch project operations.
General Projects
I work across different fields, building various projects as part of my learning journey. Some of these projects are organized under dedicated organizations, each focusing on a specific field of experimentation and development.
Abserny (2025 – Graduation Project Organization)
An organization containing multiple projects focused on experimenting with computer vision, speech recognition, and assistive AI technologies.
The main goal was to build real-time systems that help visually impaired users perceive their environment through AI-based scene understanding and audio feedback.
Technologies: Python, YOLOv8, TensorFlow, OpenCV, Vosk, Kivy
Role: Led system architecture, core AI development, and interface design across all projects
Related Projects
Alongside the core AI systems, I built supporting platforms and experimental projects under the same organization.
- abserny.com – Main portfolio website with modern design and interactive elements
- abserny.org – Experimental layout focused on visual storytelling
Web Projects
Portfolio Websites
Multiple iterations exploring different design philosophies and technical approaches:
- thecoolestone – Current portfolio with modern design and interactive elements
- Portfolio v3 – Experimental layout with focus on visual storytelling
- Saeed – Minimal design emphasizing content
- Whoami – Early portfolio exploring terminal aesthetics
Blog Platforms
Writing and knowledge-sharing experiments across different platforms and languages:
- sigfault.log – Technical blog focused on systems programming and low-level concepts
- SigFault – Earlier version exploring different writing formats
- Takallam – Arabic-focused blog for local tech community
- PotatOS – A blog for documenting my Operating System Development journey
Other Projects
Various experiments, contributions, and side projects exploring different areas of software development.
Many projects were learning experiences — some never finished, others lost to time, but all valuable in understanding what works and what doesn't.
